IHC urges Chancellor to bring forward SEISS grants applications

Following the announcement in the recent Budget regarding the fourth Self-Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) grant, the Integrated Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) has written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer urging him to bring forward the application date from the current anticipated one in late April.

Many self-employed workers in the complementary, traditional and natural healthcare sector have been seriously affected by the Government’s closures of the personal care industry over the last year. The last SEISS grant covered December, January and February, so the next payment is long overdue. Unlike some other industries, many in our industry do not fit the criteria for other rateable premises support, and so are struggling financially.

As we move towards a re-opening of the economy, bringing this date forward it would provide much needed respite, and help many people to survive until they can work again.
